Biography
Shin Jungkyun reveals underlying anxieties by capturing moments when everyday landscapes transform into symbols. Through found-object archives and mockumentaries, he constructs narratives traversing reality and fiction to question individual-collective relationships. Since the pandemic, he has focused on environments-as-stages where bodies rehearse the future, visualizing the fictionality of preservation systems like time capsules. Recently, he reinterprets crisis manuals into songs and 'rule-based ghost stories,' proposing anomalous scenarios to navigate an era of uncertainty.
