 Yeon-Yong Kim studied Fine Art at the School of Visual Arts, Korean National University of Arts and MFA at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Through video, photographic-based practice, and writing, he explores the relation of contemporary art to democracy. He was a researcher at Kaywon School of Art & Design and Humanitas College, Kyung hee University. Recently, he participates in the research group ‘somoonza d’ and ‘After School Avan-guard’, and teaches on the ‘Creative Workshop Program’ at Korean National University of Arts. His works were shown in several of exhibitions, including solo show ‘La Communauté affrontée‘ (Yonugeun Museum of Contemporary Art, 2013) and ‘The White Elephant’ (SARUBIA, 2010).
