HOW TO APPLY
○ International
- Application period : Wednesday, 2 March ~ Tuesday,
22 March 2016 (Total. 21days)
※Deadline : 22 March 2016 (in Korean time 16:00)

1) Application
to residency
2) Planning
statement for creation
Present
detailed data to be verified for the possibility of realizing the creation
after joining Seoul Art Space_Geumcheon
3) Experience
of Artwork
Document of
experiences in Korea or overseas of recent three years (mainly result of
Artwork or result related with Planning Statement in residency)
※List of group members: submitted in case of
group
※ In case of group, Experience for Artwork of
each group members should be submitted
4) Your
Portfolio (File by PPT or PDF)
․ including
20 images (with caption), articles or reports by mass media, critique, artist’s
note, or other documents for proving artworks (such as exhibition leaflets,
cover of picture book including images)
․ Video works must be edited to run for no
longer than 3 minutes and submitted in .avi, .mov
or .mpeg4
format
※ As file size is limited to 40MB, Portfolio
and video files should be edited to the limit.
5) A copy
of passport.
If you are
re issuing your passport send us your most recent one.

- A letter of recommendation from relevant
organization or person (It’s optional but you can have
advantage.)
WHO MAY APPLY?
○ Application Field : Visual
Artist
○ Qualification for Applying
- Common both for Korean and International
․ Individual or group can join in Residency
programs and international co-works
- Overseas group having one or two artists
(assuming double room at hostel)
- No application allowed for following groups
․ Overseas, group or association having three
or more artists
․ University student on the register (group
including student will depended on committee’s decision)
․ Association composed of memberships
․ Society organized by school, religious or
friendship group not having goal for genuine artwork
RESIDENCY
INFORMATION
※ The whole
fields of visual arts such as painting, installation, video, photograph etc.
※ Depending on the policy, the final selections may be
adjusted.
○ Residency Period (yy,mm,dd)
※ For
International residents who have resided in SASG before, re-appliance is
available.
(Except for who have resided in SASG more than a twice)
○ Detail schedule
SUPPORTING DETAIL
○ For International artists
- Exemption of the hostel charges and
space fee
- Financial
aid for round airplane tickets per person (when residing as a team, only one of
team member will be supported)
- Accommodation (Single room per
person, double room per group)
○ Common supporting detail for International
and Korean
- Studio (1 room per person/team)
- Able to participate in the program
at Seoul Art Space_Geumcheon
: Workshop,
Education program, Expert support program, Open studio and exhibition and etc.
- Partial production cost supported when
having an exhibition at Seoul Art Space_Geumcheon
- PR supported in Korea and overseas
( ex. PR expenses for solo exhibition)
- Liberal use of the Media Lab, Warehouse
(Large workspace), equipment room, seminar room and kitchen and etc.

SELECTION PROCESS
OF THE RESIDENT ARTIST
○ 1st review : document screening
○ 2nd review : presentation for
evaluation (need to prepare the presentation with PPT or PDF format file)
※ 2nd review is for candidates passed through
1st review, and International artists are free to be
reviewed by
the presentation.
○ Schedule of Evaluations and Announcement of
Successful Applicants
- Review : April 2016
- Final Announcement of Successful Applicants
: Friday 6th May 2016
※ Actual
schedule could be adjusted by evaluation conditions
