Biography
Sora Park visualizes speculative futures—scenarios, personas, commodities, and lifeforms—that may emerge if contemporary social issues persist. Working across sculptural models, video, installation, and interactive sculpture, she transforms speculative imagination into tangible experience through interactive devices and structures. Her practice critically examines how human beings are commodified under late capitalism and the neoliberal system, and in what ways the body and consciousness are objectified and quantified in that process. In her recent work, she explores how the desire for self-optimization is transferred to and circulated as personas and images on digital platforms, investigating the reality where these elements are capitalized through a process of selection and exclusion.
