Ethereal - Too perfect for this world, 2017
Interactive Installation, Pneumatic robot, 360 degree camera, VR headset, Cotton

The definition of the word "Ethereal" refers to a ghostly matter that is extremely airy, delicate and insubstantial. Our existence, on a conceptual level, might also be ethereal. The assumption that our bodies are visible relies on a second person point of view. "Ethereal" is a medium that allows the audience to look at
themselves from the perspective of a robot that stands behind them. The audience then can acknowledge one's existence by touching and seeing one's body through the perspective of others.

"Death in Virtual Reality" is the work about human death which audiences are able to lie down on the bed and watch. Audiences are not 'watching' but 'existing' in the movie. However, they soon lost their existence in the movie. This project is not only experimenting cinematic grammar but also questioning about the meaning of the death in Virtual Reality.
