Biography
Arong Chung(b. 1981) works with painting with hopes of restoring the magical powers which art works originally possessed. The artist composes narratives borrowing motifs from myths, legends, religions, etc, and using various symbols that have long existed in mankind, depicting a mystical and archetypal world. The artist also practices with ancient methods such as egg tempera, metal point drawing and ceramic in which by going through their rather delicate and complicated process, the artist intersects with the world of painting, recalling its magic.
