Biography
Jinseung Jang works with an interest in the prejudice and discrimination inherent in human existence, and the possibility of mutual understanding that enables him to overcome them. To this end, he uses various media such as digital and analog data visualization, audiovisual archive systems, video work, and sculpture to experiment with human perception and cognitive structures that will arrive in the near future. He is a creator of ZER01NE, an open innovation platform run by Hyundai Motor Group. Jang was also selected to participate in the exhibition Public Art New Hero (2020) by Public Art magazine, and the Korean Art Creative Academy organized by Arts Council Korea. He held solo exhibitions called L·A·P·S·E (CR Collective, Seoul, Korea, 2022), Réalité Simulée (Onsu Gonggan, Seoul, Korea, 2021), and OLIGOPTICON (space:illi, Seoul, Korea, 2020). Currently, he is exploring various possibilities for a new sense of the new era, focusing on the morphological aspects of work that can exist at the boundary between virtual and real.
