Biography
Minjung Kim’s practice explores the structure of socio-cultural contexts associated with the materiality and optical characteristics of moving image, spanning across theaters and gallery spaces. Her works, including films and video installations, focus on capturing and critically examining cultural, natural, and social phenomena related to media, particularly how 'standards' or 'norms' lead to the exclusion of certain aspects, referring to the formal properties of Structure Film such as depth of field, length of film strips, light, shutters, and mirrors.
