Biography
Daseul Song considers images or moving-images as a result of materialized time, and works on videos that allow viewers to perceive and imagine the materiality of time. Focusing on contemporary media environment, Song devises methodologies in which videos, moving images and installations that can evoke the properties of images that the reflective surfaces being penetrated and refracted by landscapes of visual elements on the screen as well as the outer reality beyond the surface of the devices. Through these attempts the artist multifacetedly experiments the mediated senses, image-consumers and image-producers detect, led by contemporary images.
